At the recent Detroit Auto Show, Toyota presented the A-BAT Hybrid Concept.
The Toyota A-BAT has a four-cylinder engine with its system technology Toyota's Hybrid Synergy Drive, also has transparent solar panels located on the instrument panel to capture sunlight for energy. It has four doors, a pug nose and a sloping roofline that falls on both sides of a four-foot cargo bed that can be extended to six feet by dropping the tailgate an oversized cabin may contain elements of the opening of a transparent roof panel. Also there are in storage compartment under the truck moving.
The interior of bright and vibrant colors of this hybrid concept is somewhat futuristic and inspired by high end mountain bikes, folding rear seats for increased cargo capacity, has no steering wheel in the traditional way as we all know also has some information screens in the dual front driver and passenger.
Toyota concept is 23 inches shorter than a Toyota Tacoma and it is the first Toyota truck to have a second gate, which increases the cargo space into the cabin.
Kevin Hunter, president Calty Design Research, Inc. said:
"Driving from beyond the suburbs to the city is a way of life for many people," "We've taken Toyota's truck heritage to a different level of designing a vehicle capable of going maneuvering the suburbs as well as dirt roads. This compact truck is as comfortable for long road to travel. It can accommodate outdoor toys for home improvements and supplies. In addition, customers benefit from low-emission hybrid power and fuel economy. "
has been designed by the California Center on platform with one body and hybrid technology the engine, plus solar panels on the roof to get extra energy. This is probably the answer that makes Toyota all environmentalists and all those who are not interested in vans handle more like trucks.
