LinkedIn , online social network of professionals and job seekers, reached 100 million members worldwide, and more than half of them outside United States.



Company announced today that it increased at a rate of about one million new members every week. Brazil and Mexico are among the fastest growing countries, said the chief executive of LinkedIn , Jeff Weiner .


LinkedIn wants to raise up to $ 175 million in an IPO hoping to capitalize on the frenzied interest in Internet companies in private hands Facebook , Twitter and Groupon .



While
the number of members of this network is growing, the company said in the documentation for release to the Stock Exchange that a "vast majority" of its members visited the site monthly.
